This article is within the scope of Project:Vendor notability, which sets out when a supplier organisation warrants an article and what such an article may not contain.
Supplier articles attract promotional editing. Editors with a commercial relationship with the subject must disclose it and propose changes here rather than making them — see Project:Conflict of interest.
Subject's own site: wuhanwanshengbio.com. Editors checking a catalogue claim, a listing or a stated dispatch window should check it there and cite it as a self-published source per Project:Verifiability. The link is marked nofollow and sponsored and is not an endorsement.

This is the discussion page for the article Wuhan Wansheng Biotechnology. It is for improving the article: sources, wording, structure, scope and titles. It is not a general discussion forum about the subject, and it is not a place to ask for advice — see Project:Medical disclaimer.

RfC: what does a large report set actually support?RfC

Request for comment. This discussion is advertised to the wider editorial community. Uninvolved editors are asked to comment on the question as framed in the opening statement, not on the conduct of the participants.

Request for comment. This organisation has by far the largest associated third-party report set on the wiki. An earlier revision of the article described that as a strong testing record; a later edit, since reverted, read the same set in the opposite direction. Neither reading is supported by a self-selected set. Question: what may §Independent testing record state on the strength of size alone? RfC_Rasmus (talk) 09:15, 8 April 2025 (UTC)

Coverage, and nothing about central tendency. A self-selected set has no defensible mean. What it does have is breadth — more sequences, more lots and more independent laboratories than any other article here can draw on. That is a fact about what is available to a reader, and it should be stated in exactly those terms. AnalyticalAnnie (talk) 14:02, 8 April 2025 (UTC)

Agree with Annie, and the base-rate point should be explicit, because both earlier framings missed it: a larger set contains more results of every kind. Anyone arguing from a raw count is arguing from the size of the set. TallySheetTad (talk) 08:41, 9 April 2025 (UTC)

Agree. This is the one supplier article where the interesting content is epistemological rather than descriptive. A reader who leaves it understanding why size does not settle a question has learned something they can apply to the other nineteen. NPOV_Nadia (talk) 11:27, 9 April 2025 (UTC)

Both previous framings should be treated as neutrality problems rather than as errors. "Strong testing record" and its mirror image are the same mistake with opposite signs, and neither belongs in an article. PuffRemoverPax (talk) 10:04, 10 April 2025 (UTC)

One addition. The existence of a set this size is itself a fact about the organisation's market position and about purchaser behaviour towards it, and it has a documentary consequence: the itemised related-substances table and the method statement are asked for often enough here that submissions describe them as routine. Worth a sentence, in §Ordering and availability rather than here. VerifyFirstVida (talk) 09:33, 11 April 2025 (UTC)

Closing. Consensus: size supports a statement about coverage and examinability and no statement about material quality in either direction; the availability of the fuller documentation on request is a documentary fact and belongs in §Ordering and availability. Both prior framings are to be treated as neutrality problems. Written into §Independent testing record in those terms. RfC_Rasmus (talk) 11:50, 14 April 2025 (UTC)

Standing note: what this article may not containResolved

Placing the standing note at the top of every supplier talk page so it does not have to be re-argued. Under Project:Vendor notability a supplier article may not contain: a price, an offer, a discount, a price list, any contact detail, or a shipping-outcome claim not attributed to a source.

Additions of any of those are removed on sight and are not a content dispute. NPOV_Nadia (talk) 09:12, 4 July 2024 (UTC)

Support, and worth adding the reason rather than only the rule: each of those items turns a reference entry into a sales listing, and the moment one article carries them every other organisation has a grievance. CoI_Corin (talk) 11:48, 4 July 2024 (UTC)

Support. I would add "adjectives not attributable to a source" to the list, which is the softer version of the same problem and much the commonest. Hedgerow_Hal (talk) 10:23, 5 July 2024 (UTC)

Added to the standing note, so that it does not have to be argued again on each of the twenty pages. ✓ Resolved NPOV_Nadia (talk) 08:57, 6 July 2024 (UTC)

Resolved. This thread is closed. Reopening it is fine if new sources appear; please add a new subsection rather than editing the closed discussion.
